Week 6 - MBA 6101 SU22 - Ascend Your Start-Up

In chapter 6 of Ascend Your Startup, Yu discusses aligning strategy with process. Accountability and alignment are two traits that set top performing companies apart from their competitors. Aligning vision with execution and taking ownership of all of your ideas and endeavors will keep the company on the right track up the mountain. 

The next decisions that need to be made are how will you apply your strengths to your weaknesses to find your superpower, how will you fill the process disconnect, how will you fill the measurement disconnect, how will you measure the company as a customer-centric company, and what does your summit look like now. 

Based on my work experience, I identify with the decision how will you fill the measurement disconnect? It is important to effectively measure success consistently across the company by identifying key metrics that are a good indicator of department or area performance. I work in accounting and financial analytics for a real estate investment company and we have many indicators that effectively measure the performance of property portfolios outside of simple revenue or cash on cash returns.
