The sixth chapter of Surfing the Tsunami discusses the second level of responding to the future of AI; becoming adept in AI. Becoming adept refers to getting directly involved with developing AI by learning coding and how to work with related data. The bar of entry to directly being involved with developing AI is very high right now but as better tools are made, that bar of entry will lower. An example of tools making complex things of yesterday easier would be website builders. It is now extremely easy to be able to make your own site with zero coding knowledge.
A good place to start with is DataRobot according to the author, Kelsey. It appears to be a way to access machine learning and data preparation with the assistance of AI with an easy to use interface. Amazon and Google are of course also launching their own machine learning services as well.
It is also asserted that AI in it's present state is synonymous with machine learning, deep learning and neural networks, and data science. The first two refer to how the AI adapts to new conditions and varaibles in it's effort to accomplish a task in the most efficient way. The last refers to the practical application that companies are always trying to improve and utilize ever more effectively.
